After a few years in the industry — and a fair amount of trial and error — I can confidently say I’ve perfected my autumn wardrobe. At this point, I truly feel I have everything I could possibly need (and no, I don’t mean in terms of sheer quantity). If I were to start from scratch tomorrow, these are the pieces I’d immediately repurchase.

Blue button-up: While often thought of as a summer staple, I reach for mine far more in the cooler months. They’re effortless layered over a tank or T-shirt and slipped neatly under a jumper. My favourite is a classic Ralph Lauren version, which you can even have monogrammed with your initials.

Black boots: Hardly a revelation, but a heeled boot instantly elevates almost any outfit. I’ve waxed lyrical about Aeyde’s boots before — and I stand by them. Staud also does excellent pairs; I live in their knee-highs, which are wonderfully comfortable. Next on my wish list? A Tom Ford–era pair of Gucci boots. If you’re a size US 6, you’re in luck — there are still some floating about.

Car coat: The trench’s straighter, boxier cousin, designed (as the name suggests) for ease while sitting in the car. I’m partial to Burberry’s version and can’t wait to style mine the way Hailey Bieber did — with black capris, a white tank or long-sleeve top, and loafers.
